PA, PBT AND PET COMPOUNDS WITH V0

Our products with flame retardant properties are present in parts and components of electrical, electronic, automotive and household appliances. Parts molded with our Promyde® or Proxylene PBT polyamides are probably part of your daily life, and are at your fingertips in multiple applications such as switches, sockets, electronics, automotive parts, or in white goods such as refrigerators, washing machines and dryers. In addition, our polymers facilitate the manufacture of electrical connectors and fuse boxes.

Our grades meet the most demanding requirements of the market, and comply with the most restrictive safety regulations covering all the needs of electrical and electronic applications.

All flame retardant developments are compatible with other specialties and requirements such as thermal stabilization, hydrolysis and ultraviolet resistance. These developments can be manufactured in colors, upon request.

PROMYDE®: PA6 and PA66 FR HALOGEN-FREE COMPOUNDS

Promyde’s PA6 and PA66 FR range offers unreinforced and reinforced grades with different types of glass fibers (up to 50% reinforcement by weight) and mineral fillers. Our entire product range is also available in colors. We have solutions for all levels of flame resistance, from the most basic, V2 up to degrees V0 at UL94 for the most demanding applications and with a Glow Wire Flammability Index (GWFI) of up to 960ºC. In addition, we have in our portfolio grades that meet the maximum safety level required by the standard. EN45545 for fire protection in railway vehicles.

Promyde offers a wide range of halogen-free products, where safety remains paramount, but which reduce toxicity and have a reduced environmental impact.

PROXYLENE: FLAME RETARDANT PBT AND PET FLAME RETARDANT COMPOUNDS

The Proxylene PBT, PET and PBT/PET product range offers unreinforced and glass fiber reinforced grades. Our new compounds offer properties that achieve the highest flame resistance values: V0 and V2 UL-94, with a Glow Wire Flammability Index (GWFI) of 960ºC. These values are achieved even at minimum thicknesses of less than 1mm.

Our entire range of PBT and PET compounds is also available in colors. Proxylene also offers references of halogen-free flame retardant products.

Advantages of PBT and PET Proxylene compounds:

  • Excellent mechanical properties with low water absorption and flame retardant properties to offer new solutions to new design trends in a constantly evolving industry such as electronics.
  • Its stability at high temperatures, even at prolonged exposure or working times, allows Proxylene grades to maintain their high mechanical properties even in the most demanding conditions, being the perfect candidate for automotive applications.
  • Proxylene grades are also distinguished by their outstanding surface finish

Flame retardant fabrics with flame retardancy

NERIDE FR is a nylon 6 multifilament suitable for textile constructions without elastane in applications not in direct contact with the skin.

NERIDE FR has a LOI index of 34%.

Flame-retardant nylon is used in various textile applications to enhance fire safety. This includes protective clothing, military and sports apparel, home textiles, and it is also ideal for manufacturing automotive textiles or fastening systems.
