3D printing filaments
3D printing is a booming technology, which can replace the standard production of a wide range of industrial products. The demand of this type of products is increasing. This is why NUREL has developed a range materials optimal for this application.
3D printing results a cost-effective way of production, specially when the number of produced parts is not enough to compensate the cost of a injection mold design. Typical applications of 3D printed parts are prototypes or final parts on the automotive, electrical or electronic sectors.
Standard PA6 does not show an appropriate performance for this application. This is why NUREL has developed special copolyamides improving in this direction standard PA6 properties, such as melting point and cristallinity which affects to shrinckage and adhesion.
Our Promyde® polyamides for 3D printing are specially designed for the following 3D printing technologies:
- Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM)
- Selective Laser Sintering (SLS)
Our PA6 grades are available in pellet form. They are suitable for both filament extrusion and powder micronization processes.
